I promise to stop letting fear take precedence 

I promise to let you go to love

I promise to cry when you are sad

I promise to laugh when you feel funny

I promise my eyes will be for no other

I promise to be here when you return

Look for me and I promise you; you will never be alone.

We often tell those we love these promises. A parent to a child, a lover, a friend, a role model, all to another. We make these promises to those we create life long memories; with the intention that they would bring comfort and peace of mind. These promises we should be making to ourselves, especially as you step into your awakening and come into your self awareness. New age wisdom would suggest we should be selfish in our self-love. We cannot love another unconditionally without first loving ourselves unconditionally. We must be able to look in the mirror and love the deepest parts of ourselves, including the parts we don’t let the world see. There is no easy answer on how-to, just that you must do the work. You are the entire universe walking your own individual journey. Once you come to know yourself deeper you will see that you are in fact, never alone.
